HONG KONG, 5 December 2025 – Greensee AI, the maritime emissions intelligence company, and Climate Change Ventures (CCV), the London-based green finance specialist, have announced the creation of PACEX Limited, a joint venture headquartered in Hong Kong. PACEX (Platform for Accounting & Carbon Exchange) will deliver a unified solution for shipping-sector decarbonisation, compliance, and carbon trading across the Asia-Pacific region.
PACEX will offer an integrated platform designed for shipowners, charterers, and operators navigating tightening regulatory frameworks, including the EU ETS, UK ETS, and the IMO’s upcoming Fuel-Intensity Regulation. The platform will enable:
- Sector-Focused Emissions Trading for EUA, UKA, Surplus and Remedial Units, helping clients reduce compliance costs and manage carbon exposure.
- AI-Driven Emissions Integrity, using Greensee’s data engine verified by Smart Freight Centre under the GLEC 3.2 framework to ensure accurate, reportable, and regulator-ready emissions accounting.
- Green Fuel & Technology Advisory, supporting shipping companies in adopting biofuels, green methanol, hydrogen, ammonia, and other low-carbon solutions.
- Structured Green and Transition Finance, combining CCV’s carbon-market expertise with tailored instruments to fund decarbonisation projects.
